Where does Multinautic come from?

An idea

Multinautic was created thanks to an idea: to put an aluminium dock in a box to allow its delivery by express courier. This idea was recognized for its innovation by the Canadian R&D Program in 1992.

A vision

The following year, the company Idée Dumarin created its "Boutique du Quai" division with François Dostie at the head of the department with the aim of establishing a distribution network for nautical parts and accessories.

Multinautic

In order to consolidate its position in the Canadian market and be recognized by its customers, the Multinautic brand was created in 1998.
The impact is instantaneous: a very first corporate customer signs an exclusivity with Multinautic.

Quais Laurentiens

In 1999, Multinautic was purchased by Quais Laurentiens. This acquisition anchors Multinautic's knowledge and expertise in 1974, the year that Quais Laurentiens was founded by Maurice Jutras and André Verronneau. In 1996 Christian Verronneau, son of André, became the sole shareholder of Quais Laurentiens. Christian is a successful entrepreneur with great ambition. He immediately saw the potential of the Multinautic product line and its distribution network.

Improvement

François Dostie, Pierre Labelle and Christian return to the drawing board to improve the dock in a box, review the brand image in order to penetrate the Canadian retail network.

Network

From 2000 to 2010, Canadians seized Multinautic products. From a company operating exclusively in the Laurentians, Multinautic became distributed from coast to coast in Canada and also the first to sell docks online. Canada's leading position in the field of docks for motorists is reflected in the expanded range of products developed to meet all the needs of residents.

Today we can find Multinautic products in major banners such as Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's, Rona, Réno-Dépôt, BMR, Walmart, Castle, Home Hardware, as well as from several independent hardware retailers. Multinautic also distributes its products to a vast network of dock manufacturers and installers.

Association

In 2017, Louis G. Langelier and Jean-Philippe Michaud, an external duo of entrepreneurs , team up with Christian Verronneau. This new breath stimulates the development of the company in order to continue its growth and ensure its sustainability. Already present in the US, growth is accelerating, new products are launched and the brand image is once again updated. Passionate about the nautical environment and ambitious, the renewed management team aims to be the reference in the industry across North America.
